Former LUSAKA Province Minister BOWMAN LUSAMBO has been sentenced to four year imprisonment with hard labour for corruption, tax evasion and possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.
LUSAKA Magistrate FAIDES HAMAUNDU convicted Mr. LUSAMBO on nine out of 10 counts of corruption, tax evasion and possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.
Delivering the verdict, Magistrate HAMAUNDU, however, acquitted Mr. LUSAMBO’s wife NANCY MANASE who was jointly charged with him.
Magistrate HAMAUNDU has ruled that the prosecution has not proved the proceeds of crime charge against Mrs. LUSAMBO.
