Miles applies for contempt against Chabinga
By Hannock Kasama
Patriotic Front President MILES SAMPA has applied for leave to commence contempt proceedings against Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly ROBERT CHABINGA for holding himself out as Acting Party President.
Mr. SAMPA has argued that Mr. CHABINGA has also defied the Court Order not to hold any media interaction.
He has argued that Mr. CHABINGA yesterday held a press briefing in LUSAKA against a court injunction meted out on November 09, 2024.
Mr. SAMPA has also sued PF Secretary General MORGAN NG’ONA and the Registrar of Societies as second and third defendants.
He said Mr. NG’ONA yesterday during the Press briefing kept on referring to Mr. CHABINGA as PF Acting President despite the Court injunction.
This is according to the Statement in support of Ex Parte Summons for leave application to commence contempt proceedings against Mr. CHABINGA, Mr. NG’ONA and Registrar of Societies.
