Ministry of Mines signs MOU with Ivanhoe
The Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development has signed a Memorandum of Understanding -MOU- with Ivanhoe Mining limited for the development of the mining sector.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mines Minister PAUL KABUSWE said the MoU has the potential to benefit the country’s mining sector.
Mr. KABUSWE said Ivanhoe Mining limited has a commendable track record of investment in Africa.
And, Mines Permanent Secretary HAPENGA KABETA said the collaboration is a crucial step towards unlocking various mining opportunities and fostering development.
Meanwhile, Ivanhoe Mining limited Executive Vice President Special Projects PATRICIA MAKHESHA said the company is looking forward to working with the people of Zambia to assist in the growth of the mining sector.
