Mpezeni Commends Govt for Support Ahead of Nc’wala Ceremony

Paramount Chief Mpezeni of Eastern Province has commended the government for its support towards hosting this year’s Nc’wala ceremony.

Speaking during the final Nc’wala ceremony preparatory meeting held at Mtenguleni in Chipata yesterday, the Paramount Chief, who spoke through Chief Kapatamoyo, said the government has exhibited true partnership.

Paramount Chief Mpezeni has appealed to the general public to maintain law and order during the ceremony.

Earlier, Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Paul Thole said the government has provided food, expanded the arena, and donated fuel through local authorities and other stakeholders.

Meanwhile, Nc’wala ceremony organizing committee secretary Adamson Sakala said all is set for the ceremony.

Chipata City Mayor George Mwanza stated that the city is ready to host the ceremony.

The climax of the ceremony will be this Saturday at Mtenguleni.
