
Mpezeni Welcomes Sanitation and Clean Water Initiatives for Ncwala Ceremony

Paramount Chief Mpezeni of the Ngoni people of Eastern Province is happy that the government has moved in to ensure that there is proper sanitation and clean water for the multitudes of people attending this year’s Ncwala ceremony in Chipata.
The Paramount Chief says he is confident that the health measures put in place will ensure the safety of everybody attending the ceremony.
He was speaking when a team of medical personnel from the Zambia Flying Doctors Service paid a courtesy call on him at his Ephendukeni Palace.
And Zambia Flying Doctors Service Director Medical Services Chisanga Puta said her team is ready for any emergency that may occur during the ceremony.
Dr. Puta said an aircraft will be on standby at Chipata Airport for any emergency evacuation.
The team of medical personnel will be camped at the Mutenguleni main arena to offer dental, eye, and general screening while an orthopedic surgeon will be stationed at Chipata Level One Hospital.
