
Mtilizi voters turn up to elect Councillor
Voters have continued to turned up in numbers in Mtilizi ward by election, in Nyimba Constituency.
A check by a ZNBC crew in some polling stations has revealed that voting started on a slow note at around 06 hours when polling stations opened.
However, after 09 hours long queues started building up.
At Mambo Primary school where there are two polling stations, over hundred voters had voted by 09:30 hours.
ZNBC’s PATRICIA BANDA reports that at Kanchenja and Lutheran Church polling stations, voters who turned up in large numbers as early as 06 hours.
There are over 4,000 registered voters in Mtilizi ward .
Voting is expected to close at 18 hours today.
