Mtolo urges Germany to invest in Zambia’s agriculture sector
NAIS -Agriculture Minister REUBEN MTOLO has urged to the German government to invest in Zambia’s agriculture sector.
Mr MTOLO says Zambia is ready to tap into German’s advanced technologies, for increased agricultural productivity.
He noted that Zambia require investment in various areas such as soil management, seed production and irrigation among others.
Mr MTOLO said this during the Zambia German Business Meeting in Lusaka that attracted about 80 senior government officials and private sector players from German.
Meanwhile, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Engineer PETER KAPALA has called for establishment of modern abattoirs that will meet the international market.
And German Agribusiness Alliance Director Dr PER BRODERSEN reaffirms the alliance’s commitment to modernize Zambia’s agriculture sector for increased household and national food security.
