Muchima launches Oxygen Plants

Health Minister ELIJAH MUCHIMA has launched Oxygen plants worth over 10 Million dollars in six Districts.
The six plants are at National Heart Hospital in Lusaka, Kasama, Kalindawalo, Chinsali, Kabwe General Hospitals and at St Paul Mission Hospital.
Speaking at the launch at the National Heart Hospital in LUSAKA today, Dr MUCHIMA said the COVID-19 Pandemic caused a surge in the need for medical oxygen.
And GLOBAL Fund Head of High Impact Africa 2, LINDEN MORRISON said the Fund added the provision of oxygen plants in addition to funding for Tuberculosis, Malaria and HIV/AIDS.
Meanwhile, United Nations Office for Project Services -UNOPS- Regional Director East and Southern Africa RAINER FRAUENFIELD pledged commitment to invest in health systems.
