Muchima : Statistics can help better Zambia’s Healthcare system

Health Minister ELIJAH MUCHIMA says the findings from the Zambia Health Demographic Health Survey -ZDHS- will help to better the country’s healthcare system.

Speaking during the commemoration of the African Statistics week in Lusaka today, Dr. MUCHIMA said the health survey is an essential resource for informing health policy and improve health services across the country.

He added that Government is committed to realising the national vision of a nation of healthy and productive people.

Speaking at the same event, Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA said Government will use data collection to transform the education sector in the country.

Mr. SYAKALIMA said this why the Ministry aims to crest a live data system which will ensure that all decisions are made on time.
