Mukula ban to remain in force

Government says the ban on mukula trade will remain in force until the sector is cleaned up.

And, Green Economy and Environment Minister MIKE MPOSHA says the ministry is now moving in by transferring District Forestry Officers.

Speaking when he appeared on ZNBC’s Sunday Interview, Mr. MPOSHA said the weakness in enforcement is what is driving deforestation.

He said the act is happening in localities where the officers are found but they are failing to take action.
