Mulenga Sata condemns Lungu
By Wilson Mulinda
Late President MICHAEL SATA’s son MULENGA has condemned the decision by former president EDGAR LUNGU to shun the memorial of the fifth republican President.
Mr. SATA says there would be no EDGAR LUNGU without late President SATA.
Speaking during the wreath laying ceremony at Embassy Park, Mr. SATA said his family sent invitations to all families of former presidents which were honoured except for the LUNGU family.
He has urged politicians to respect the office of the President, especially those that have occupied the office before.
Mr SATA said the memorial presented an opportunity for a ceasefire to allow for the remembrance of the late former President in dignity.
He said his father would not be pleased with the current behaviour of his successor.
Former PF Secretary General DAVIES CHAMA said Mr. SATA never tolerated lies and hypocrisy, which made him unique as a leader.
And UPND Member FRANK BWALYA said those that worked closely with Mr. SATA know how kind and friendly he was, but was always serious when it came to work.
