By Cecilia Zgambo
The Muslim Social and Welfare Trust has launched the relief food distribution to flood victims in Lusaka province.
Trust Co-ordinator, MUBASSHIR MEHTA says the gesture will supplement government’s effort in lessening the burden of the affected families.
Mr MEHTA has disclosed this during the distribution of food hampers to 200 flood-affected households in Chilanga district.
The families have received mealie-meal, rice, cooking oil, sugar and salt, all worth over 360,000 Kwacha.
And speaking when she received the consignment, Lusaka Province Minister, SHEAL MULYATA has called on other stakeholders to emulate the works of the Muslim Social and Welfare Trust.
