Musokotwane Denies Mast Newspaper’s Claims About ZAMSTATS Directors
Finance Minister, Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane, says the story carried by the Mast Newspaper is totally false.
Dr. Musokotwane says the Zambia Statistics Agency is governed by a board which oversees the affairs of the agency and determines who is let go.
He says in the past months, he has not heard of any director that has been removed or fired.
In an interview with ZNBC News, Dr. Musokotwane said President Hakainde Hichilema continues to unite Zambians, and such a story goes against what the president is doing.
He said it is unfortunate that the tabloid can fabricate such a story which pits one ethnic group against another.
