Mutale Mwanza arrested for insulting Chichi Daisy

Social Media Influencer, MUTALE MWANZA has been arrested for allegedly insulting and defaming a Lusaka resident via FACEBOOK.

Ms MWANZA, aged 37, was arrested yesterday and she has been charged for harassment utilising electronic communication, contrary to the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act.

She is alleged to have posted insulting and defamatory remarks on DAISY LUFUMPA, a resident of Chamba Valley, via Facebook, on November 8, 2024.

Police Spokesperson, RAE HAMOONGA has confirmed the arrest of Ms MWANZA, following a complaint lodged in by Ms LUFUMPA on November 11, 2024.

Mr HAMOONGA has explained that Ms MWANZA’s post, which was accompanied by other libelous statements, falsely suggested that Ms LUFUMPA was engaged in illicit activities.

He added that Ms MWANZA has been granted police bond and is scheduled to appear before the court soon.
