Mutati appeals for Financial support towards World Skills Africa conference.
Technology and Science Minister FELIX MUTATI has asked for financial and technical assistance from cooperating partners to successfully host the World Skills Africa conference.
The conference is slated for April, 2025 in Livingstone.
Mr. MUTATI has also called for close collaboration with partners to deliver World Skills Africa as a brand which can change and transform the continent.
He says government has the political will to host the event as it prioritises technical, and vocational skills in the national agenda.
Mr. MUTATI said this during a Ministerial Conference on the sidelines of the World Skills Competition in France.
And speaking at the same event, AU Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor MOHAMMED BELHOCINE said the AU is committed to supporting skills development and vocational training across the continent.
Meanwhile, World Skills President, CHRIS HUMPHRIES says the organization’s wealth of resources and expertise is ready to assist in capacity building and curriculum development to enhance Africa’s TEVET systems.
