MUTATI woos investors

Technology and Science Minister, FELIX MUTATI has appealed to the private sector in the United States to invest in Zambia.
Mr. MUTATI says this is because there is potential for high returns on technology investments in the country.
He was speaking at a private sector engagement held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.
Mr. MUTATI said Zambia is seeking investments for generation and transmission of Power.
The meeting discussed that Zambia’s focus is on digital inclusion, artificial intelligence and ICT infrastructure, with significant investments already made in these areas.
And Zambia Development Agency -ZDA- Director General, ALBERT HALWAMPA highlighted Zambia’s strategic location, stable political environment and investment opportunities in sectors like e-mobility, energy, and agriculture.
This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by First Secretary for Press and Public Relations at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Zambia to the United Nations in New York, NAMATAMA NJEKWA.
