Mwata Kazembe welcomes drought response programs

MWATA KAZEMBE of the Lunda people in Mwansabombwe says emergency drought response projects being undertaken by the Government are necessary for survival.

The Chief says the drought response plans are welcome adding that the Government must ensure that the projects are spread out across the country.

The Mwata was speaking when Water Development and Sanitation Minister COLLINS NZOVU called on him at his palace.

He has appealed to the Minister of Water Development to continue with his open door policy and be ready to  listen when chiefs request for his attention.

And Mr NZOVU has explained that his tour of water projects in the province is aimed  at  fast-tracking all projects

He says the government will ensure key water projects are finalized this year.
