Mweetwa advises leaders to get involved in food production
Chief Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa has encouraged leaders to heed President Hakainde Hichilema’s to get involved in the production of food.
Mr. Mweetwa says this is important if the country has to attain the much needed food security.
He notes that if leaders are to be effective role models for their electorate, involvement in food production should be among their priorities.
Mr Mweetwa who is also Information and Media Minister, was speaking in Choma today after visiting his farm to check on the maize.
He said government is optimistic that with the expected maize bumper harvest, the cost of food, especially mealie meal, will go down.
Mr Mweetwa said this would provide relief to many citizens.
