Mweetwa Praises FISP’s Timely Input Delivery Under UPND Administration
Information and Media Minister, Cornelius Mweetwa, says the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) is working well.
Mr. Mweetwa, who is also Choma Member of Parliament, says three years ago farmers would receive their fertilizers late.
He says now under the UPND Administration, farmers are receiving the inputs on time except in rare circumstances.
Mr. Mweetwa was contributing to the motion of adjournment by Chilubi Member of Parliament, Mulenga Fube, who was proposing the increase in the number of FISP beneficiaries.
He encouraged the opposition leaders to praise the policies of the government led by President Hakainde Hichilema.
Finance Minister, Situmbeko Musokotwane, said the government is confident that the requirements of the citizens are being taken care of.
Dr. Musokotwane said the recently released World Bank Report on poverty being spoken about was created by the PF as a result of failing to make correct balances.
He said the UPND government is now balancing resources, which has seen all sectors benefiting.
