
Nalumango Calls for Stronger Engagement Between UNZA Management and Student Leaders

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has challenged University of Zambia management to always engage student leaders to avoid protests.
Mrs. NALUMANGO says a peaceful learning environment benefits all stakeholders and student concerns must be addressed proactively.
The Vice President was speaking during the inaugural peace leadership and conflict resolution training for student leaders at the University of Zambia UNZA.
Mrs. NALUMANGO said leadership is a privilege which must be undertaken with utmost responsibility to drive positive change.
Meanwhile, Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA said the training is an important step in equipping students with necessary skills to approach leadership through dialogue, consensus building, and strategic negotiation.
And UNZA Deputy Vice Chancellor BONIFACE NAMANGALA said there has been positive change as the current student leadership promotes peace and enjoys a professional relationship with management.
UNZASU President DIXON MUTAMBO has appealed to government to ensure that concerns of students continue to receive attention.
