Nalumango concerned with HIV infections among young people

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has expressed concern that new HIV infections are occurring among young people aged between 15 to 24 years.
Mrs. NALUMANGO said it is alarming that 38 percent of new HIV infections are among young people , many of whom lack access to health education and life skills.
Mrs. NALUMANGO this year”s World AIDS Day is a call to action and a moment to stand united in the fight against a pandemic.
She was speaking during commemoration of the Coalition of African Parliamentarians on Human Animal Health and Environment at Watopa in Kabompo District.
The Vice President also handed over four solar powered hammer mills funded under CEEC and a tractor funded by ZANACO.
And Defense Minister AMBROSE LUFUMA said it is important to recognize the efforts of the government in addressing pressing challenges of climate change through programs such as cash for work and social cash transfers.
And Minister of Health ELIJAH MUCHIMA said the government has fulfilled most of the promises for the people of Zambia.
