Nalumango sees youth as solutions to current challenges

Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO says youth involvement in developing alternative energy sources, sustainable agriculture and disaster preparedness is vital for growth of the economy.
Ms NALUMANGO said this in a speech read on her behalf by Education Minister DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA during the launch of the YouthConnekt Zambia Summit in Lusaka today.
The summit was held under the theme “jobs for youth through innovative skilling “.
Ms NALUMANGO said the summit’s theme aligns with the government’s vision to provide young Zambians with quality skills training, tools and resources for economic development.
And United Nations Resident Coordinator BEATRICE MUTALI has urged the young people to leverage technology in areas like agriculture, education, and healthcare.
Ms MUTALI explained that technology is a powerful tool for transforming industries and solving societal challenges.
