The National Assembly has adopted a motion that will ensure legal aid offices are established in all 116 districts.

Mr. Kang’ombe says there is a need for every person to have access to justice.
The motion was seconded by Chilubi Member of Parliament Mulenga Fube.
Others who supported the motion are Nalolo Member of Parliament Imanga Wamunyima and Seaheke Member of Parliament Romeo Kang’ombe.
Meanwhile, Justice Minister Princes Kasune said the government will provide 75 million Kwacha to the legal board in 2025.
Ms. Kasune said this is to ensure that the decentralization process is achieved with legal aid.
She said the government has been providing funds since 2021 to the legal board as a commitment to the justice system.
