Nawakwi’s family thanks HH for facilitating her evacuation

The late former Finance Minister Edith Nawakwi’s family has thanked President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA for evacuating her for medical treatment to South Africa .

Speaking during the funeral service, family representative CLEMENT MUGALA said the family is grateful for the support rendered to Ms NAWAKWI.

He said Ms NAWAKWI wanted to personally thank President HICHILEMA for approving her evacuation and for supporting her to access medical facilities.

And FDD Vice President CHIFUMU BANDA described Ms NAWAKWI as an accomplished politician, farmer and business woman, who has left an indelible mark in the country.

Mr BANDA said Ms NAWAKWI embraced service to the nation above self.

He said Ms NAWAKWI embodied the spirit of boldness and would speak for the Zambian People when need required which at times was misunderstood.
