By Tevarai Dzeka
The Catholic Church on the Copperbelt says it will support the government of the day on matters of development.
The newly appointed Archbishop of the Ndola Catholic diocese BENJAMIN PHIRI says the church is not in competition with the government.
Speaking during the Ordination of ten new Catholic priests, Archbishop PHIRI also called for unity in the church and communities as that is the only way that success is guaranteed.
He further thanked the Government for choosing to attend the Ndola Diocese Priestly ordination of ten deacons.
And the Copperbelt Permanent Secretary AUGUSTINE KASONGO said that the government is committed to work with the church on many issues affecting the country.
Mr KASONGO said the New Dawn government is open to constructive criticism from the church .
