Ndola Council ordered to stop allocating plots around Kafubu Dam

Water Development and Sanitation Minister COLLINS NZOVU has directed Ndola city council to stop issuing plots around the KAFUBU Dam.

Mr. NZOVU says the allocation of plots around the dam is an encroachment of the water body.

He was speaking when he toured KAFUBU Dam in Ndola today.

Mr NZOVU said there is need to enforce the law to ensure that the dam is protected.

Meanwhile KAFUBU water and sanitation company Director RABSON NGULUBE said the illegal activities have the capacity to reduce water  supply.
