Ndola DC warns of floods on Kafubu River
Ndola District Commissioner JOSEPH PHIRI has advised people living along the banks of Kafubu River to relocate to safer places because the country is likely to experience floods this year.
Mr. PHIRI says most residents in the area have built their houses illegally.
He says authorities have on several times tried to advise people to relocate to safer places but that they have remained adamant.
Mr. PHIRI has told the residents to start organizing themselves and prepare to vacate the areas.
He was speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Ndola
