New Chiefs’ palaces to have electricity and running water
(ZANIS) Zambia Correctional Service Commissioner General FREDRICK CHILUKUTU has assured chiefs in Southern Province that all the 81 palaces under construction will be connected to the National Electricity Grid and will have running water.
Mr. CHILUKUTU says the government’s vision is for Chiefs in Zambia to have modern palaces that will stand the test of time.
ZANIS reports that he was speaking when he concluded his project tour of chiefs’ palaces under construction in Southern Province.
Meanwhile, Chief CHIKANTA of Kalomo District has called on other traditional leaders to exercise patience with the government during this period.
Chief CHIKANTA said the delay in the completion of the projects could be partly because of the poor road network that made it difficult for heavy trucks to ferry materials to the sites.
