
No Room for Violence –HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says his administration will continue with its policy of ZERO tolerance to political violence, hate speech and negative cadreism.
President HICHILEMA says political violence, hate speech and negative cadreism have no space in Zambia.
He says his Administration is also resolved to enhance and protect human rights.
President HICHILEMA has urged citizens to be responsible in exercising their freedoms.
He says that Government is promoting and protecting freedoms of speech, assembly, media and universal suffrage.
Speaking during the National Address on the upholding of national values and principles in Parliament today, President HICHILEMA said no media house has been closed since he assumed office.
He said that the Media Industry has continued to be an important part of the country’s democracy with over 188 Radio and 66 Television stations.
President HICHILEMA reminded the Media to be professional and channels of truth to promote fairness and unity.
He pointed out that the UPND government voluntarily invited the United Nations Rapporteur on the promotion of Human Rights and Freedom of Expression as part of transparency.
President HICHILEMA said this is a rare phenomenon in the country and that Zambia is among the few countries in the world to do so.
