Online taxis introduce dashcams for security

The Online Taxi Drivers Association of Zambia introduced Global Positioning Systems -GPS trackers and live dash cameras in all online taxis.

The GPS trackers and live dash cameras have been installed to protect the drivers and passengers life.

Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA Board Chairman ALLEN MATE has pledged the agency’s support through the implementation of the project.

Mr MATE was speaking during the launch of GPS trackers and live dash cameras in all online taxis by the Online Taxi Drivers Association of Zambia in Lusaka today.

And Association President LUKAS CHANDA said the launch marks a significant milestone in enhancing safety, security, and transparency in Taxi services.

Mr CHANDA said it is important to protect drivers from attacks, robberies, and killings, which have become common the industry.

He said this in a speech read on his behalf by Association Secretary General BRYSON YABALWASHI.
