Opposition using ‘Rights Claims’ to avoid corruption cases

MMD President NEVERS MUMBA says claims by opposition political parties that the UPND government is abusing human rights, is a strategy to deflect the fight against corruption.
Dr. MUMBA says some political leaders facing the law on corruption charges are the ones claiming that the Government is abusing human rights.
He says it is saddening that the PF has launched a misinformation crusade across the country to paint the current government as an abuser of human rights.
And Dr. MUMBA has praised the UPND government for taking huge steps in improving the human rights index for Zambia over the past three years.
In a statement issued to ZNBC News, Dr MUMBA said by removing political cadres and violence from the political space, the UPND government has created a new political environment of peace, progress and potential prosperity for the nation.
