Paediatric Kidney Support Foundation launched

The Paediatric Kidney Support Foundation has been launched in Lusaka with the aim of supporting children and families affected by renal failure.

And Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary KENNEDY LISHIMPI says government will ensure quality healthcare is accessed, particularly for children.

Dr. LISHIMPI said this in a speech read on his behalf by Ministry of Health Clinical services Assistant Director RICHARD SAKANYA at the launch in Lusaka.

And University Teaching Hospital Pediatric Surgeon AZADI PATEL said the Foundation’s goals include providing support, education, and resources for families.

Meanwhile, UTH Consultant Pediatrics Nephrologists CHISAMBO MWAMBA said that there has been an increase of children with renal failure needing treatment.
