Parliament to hold special sitting

Parliament will hold a special sitting tomorrow, December 17, 2024,following the summoning of the house by the Speaker of National Assembly, NELLY MUTTI.

The sitting is expected to consider the Report of the Planning and Budgeting Committee on the revised annual borrowing plan for this year.

This is according to a statement availed to ZNBC news in Lusaka by Senior Media Liaison Officer, NSHAMBA MUZUNGU.

Mr MUZUNGU said in the statement last Friday, that the summoning of the special sitting of parliament is pursuant to Standing Order 259 of the National Assembly of Zambia.

He further explained that the Speaker’s decision is also in accordance to Article 75 of the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.
