PF members defect to UPND in Kawambwa

Scores of former Patriotic Front -PF- and other opposition members in Kawambwa have described the UPND Government as the only answer to Zambia’s economic challenges.

Speaking on behalf of the defectors former PF Kawambwa District Commissioner JAMES KALUMBA said the UPND is the only party with a suitable economic agenda for Zambia.

And speaking when receiving the defectors, the UPND National Management Committee members called on Zambians to freely join the ruling party as it is the only one that will deliver development..

Meanwhile, Tonse Alliance Campaign manager ANTHONY KASANDWE said the alliance is ready for the by-election.

And UPPZ President CHARLES CHANDA said their candidate is ready to scoop the seat come Friday, while PETER BWALYA of the Movement for Change and Equity says he will deliver development if voted into office.

Socialist Party Luapula Spokesperson INNOCENT KAPWEPWE said their candidate has a good agenda for the people of Kawambwa and urged the residents to give him a vote.

The Kawambwa seat fell vacant following the incarceration of NICKSON CHILANGWA.
