Police asked to investigate fake news on President’s health
By Ruth Chayinda
UPND Secretary General BATUKE IMENDA has called on the Police to investigate the publication of false news about President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s health.
Mr. IMENDA says the police should bring the perpetrators to book for the cyber crimes being committed.
And Mr. IMENDA says the opposition must conduct civil politics and not commit crimes deliberately, then cry foul when arrested for their irresponsible actions.
The UPND Chief executive says he is aware of the scheme by the opposition to malign the President on Social Media.
He has also warned those circulating the fake news that the Cyber security and Cyber Crime Act also punishes people who circulate such criminal publications.
Mr. IMENDA was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news in Petauke, Eastern Province.
