Police in Kabwe Arrest Seven for Copper Cable Theft in Chisamba

ZANIS -Police in Kabwe have arrested seven people behind a spate of thefts of power cables from farms in Chisamba District, Central Province.

Central Province Police Commissioner Charity Munganga says the seven, who were arrested on different occasions in Liteta, have been terrorizing farmers by stealing copper power cables.

Ms. Munganga said this when Central Province Permanent Secretary Milner Mwanakampwe checked the stolen cables and tools that were allegedly used in the robberies.

She said five out of the seven were found with a shotgun, a pistol, kitchen knives, and a heavy-duty cutter when police searched their vehicle at the Chisamba police checkpoint.
