Police in LUSAKA have arrested a sixth suspect, in connection with the death of GEORGE KALABA who was found in a skeletal state in Luangwa’s Garden Compound.
The female suspect, identified as PRETERIA MUSELA 44, of the same Compound, was the first individual to be informed about the death of Mr. KALABA in 2023.
Police Spokesperson, RAE HAMOONGA says Ms. MUSELA physically viewed the remains of the deceased on November 21, 2023 between 10 and 11 hours.
Mr. HAMOONGA explained that investigations have revealed that Ms. MUSELA had been regularly praying with the Wife to the deceased SYLVIA KALABA and her children from 2023 until January 13, 2025, with the belief that the deceased would resurrect.
He told ZNBC News that Ms. MUSELA has been detained with the alleged offence of Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
Mr. HAMOONGA has urged the public to provide information that may assist with the investigation to any nearest police station.
