Political,Religious leaders condemn Insults
By Mark Ziligone
Political and religious leaders have condemned some opposition politicians inciting youths to insult President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia -EFZ- Executive Director ANDREW MWENDA says it is wrong for anyone regardless of their political affiliation to use derogatory language against the President.
Bishop MWENDA told ZNBC News that political differences should be addressed respectfully and not through insults.
And Movement for Multiparty Democracy -MMD-President, NEVERS MUMBA said the political climate where some opposition leaders are resorting to extreme tactics, including manipulating young people to attack the President publicly should be condemned.
Dr. MUMBA further called on religious leaders to take a stand on these matters, stressing the importance of upholding moral and ethical standards in public discourse.
