President HICHILEMA meets Japanese Premier
(ZANIS) President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has held bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister, SHIGERU ISHIBA in TOKYO.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. ISHIBA said his country looks forward to working with President HICHILEMA in finding solutions to Africa’s challenges.
He also stressed the need to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation with Zambia in order to maintain and strengthen a free and open international order, based on the rule of law.
And President HICHILEMA thanked JAPAN for its continued support in sectors such as mining, agriculture and infrastructure development.
Meanwhile Zambia and Japan have signed two Memoranda of Understanding for the promotion and protection of investment.
The MoUs also seek to establish a policy dialogue mechanism.
