Privacy Concerns Unfounded – Tech Minister

Government has refuted claims by some sections of society that the newly assented #Cyber #Security #Law is about invading people’s privacy.
Speaking to Journalists in Lusaka today, #Technology and #Science Minister FELIX MUTATI said contrary to assertions, the Cyber security law will ensure that there is safety in the cyber space.
Mr. MUTATI said Government made balanced consultations with stakeholders before the bill was passed into law.
He has urged the public to take time to read the Act to have a better understanding of it.
Mr. MUTATI has also encouraged foreign investors to feel safe in the cyber space as the law is aimed at protecting them.
