Public urged to support new health workers
By Christopher Miti
The Civil Service Commission has appealed to members of the public to help the newly recruited health workers settle in their communities and start discharging their roles.
Commission Chairperson CHOOLWE BEYANI says the Commission expects the new health workers to uphold professionalism.
He was speaking when he inspected the issuance of appointment letters to health workers at the Eastern Province health office in Chipata.
And Eastern Province Permanent Secretary PAUL THOLE said the majority of health workers have already received appointment letters.
Mr THOLE said the province expects a one hundred percent turn up from the newly recruited health workers.
Meanwhile Eastern Province Health Director MATHEW NG’AMBI thanked the commission for rolling out an induction mechanism to the new workers.
And one of the new workers WEBBY CHOWELA commended the government for the recruitment which he describes as highly competitive.
