“Put an end to audit Queries”

Local Government and Rural Development Minister GARY NKOMBO has challenged auditors to put an end to audit queries, especially from the legislative assembly public accounts committee.

Mr. NKOMBO says it is important that auditors adhere to regulations that they set to minimize and if possible do away with audit queries.

He says with the increase in Constituency Development Fund-CDF- to over 30-million Kwacha, auditors’ responsibilities have increased.

Mr NKOMBO was speaking in Livingstone today when he officially opened the 2024 annual Internal Auditors Conference.

And, Institute of Internal Auditors of Zambia, Vice President, TEMBA NONDE said the increased CDF in the last three years calls for greater accountability, responsibility and transparency to ensure prudent use of resources.
