
Rehabilitation of Serenje-Mpika,Mpika Chinsali roads to start soon

Infrastructure and urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI says the rehabilitation of the Serenje -Mpika road will soon start with financial support from the World Bank.
Mr Milupi also said the Mpika – Chinsala road will also be rehabilitated with support from the African Development bank.
He said this when he commissioned the Aluni-Mulonga Acrow bridge in Kanchibiya District , Muchinga Province.
The bridge was constructed by the Road Development Agency-RDA and the Zambia National Service -ZNS at a cost of 8 million kwacha.
Mr. MILUPI says the Acrow Bridge is among the 131 to be constructed in all provinces.
RDA Board Chairperson MULCHAND KUNTAWALA said the agency has already purchased equipment to install the 131 acrow bridges.
Mr KUNTAWALA says the agency expects to complete ten acrow bridges by the end of the year.
And ZNS Commander Lieutenant General MALITI SOLOCHI says the Acrow bridge is a commitment of the government’s dedication to Infrastructure development and the ZNS’s ability to perform national duties.
And, National Council for construction -NCC Board Chairperson VITALIS MOOYA commended the quality of construction.
