President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says resource endowments should not be used for conflict resolution or to fund wars.
President HICHILEMA says this is because resources intended for development are often diverted when used for conflicts.
The President says it is important for countries to champion peace and stability to ensure resources are dedicated to development and the well-being of their people.
He says Zambia’s Foreign Policy is deliberately anchored on peace, security, and stability as essential elements for economic and social diplomacy.
President HICHILEMA has made these remarks at State House when he received credentials from Ambassadors accredited to Zambia from Ethiopia, Spain, Algeria, and Mauritius.
And President HICHILEMA has urged non-resident Ambassadors to establish missions in Zambia.
He says this would enhance cooperation and collaboration on global challenges such as climate change, food insecurity, and conflicts.
President HICHILEMA has reiterated that Zambia is a peaceful and stable country, encouraging the new diplomats to invite their relatives and friends to visit Zambia’s tourist sites.
He has also urged them to attract investors from their countries to invest in Zambia.
