Security tightened in Mtilizi

The Electoral Commission of Zambia -ECZ – has deployed polling staff to all the nine polling stations ahead of the by- elections scheduled for tomorrow in Mtilizi ward in Nyimba District.

ECZ Director Electoral Operations ROYD KATONGO says this is after the Commission conducted a five-day training session before the polls.

Mr KATONGO was speaking at a stakeholders meeting of polling agents, Media, Observers and the Zambia Police.

And, Eastern Province Police Commissioner ROBERTSON MWEEMBA said security will be tightened before and during voting.

Mr MWEEMBA emphasised the need for all political parties to observe their campaign schedules.
