Sexual Abuse of Girls Must End – KASUNE
By Sharon Siame
Justice Minister PRINCESS KASUNE has condemned the sexual abuse of young girls.
Ms. KASUNE says there is need to interrogate what is causing the vice and to deal with perpetrators in a strong manner.
She says this is a serious matter which the country needs to urgently address.
The Justice Minister said this in the National Assembly today when contributing to the motion of thanks on the President’s address to the National Assembly on progress made in the application of national values and principles
And Ms. KASUNE said it is unfortunate that the country is standing at only 15 percent women representation in the National Assembly and that some sections of society do not want to amend the constitution in order to change the status quo.
She said the eighth National Development Plan speaks to 50 -50 women representation in the National Assembly and that the UPND Administration is determined to actualize it.
