Simuuwe Dismisses Opposition’s Call for Copperbelt Mine Closures

UPND Media Director MARK SIMUUWE has dismissed calls by the Tonse Alliance for government to close all mines on the Copperbelt for by some investor to run them efficiently.
Mr. SIMUUWE says the opposition were in no position to make such calls when they messed up the mines and left over 20,000 miners jobless.
He told ZNBC news that it is an insult to Zambians for the Tonse Alliance to be calling for closure of mines which are an economic contributor.
Mr. SIMUUWE has called for constructive criticism which addresses issue.
