Sishuwa condemned for tribal remarks

Academician SISHUWA SISHUWA has been condemned by a cross section of society for alleging that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is persecuting Bembas and Easterners.
Advocate for the Declaration of Zambia as a Christian Nation National Secretary, SOLOMON MBULO, described Dr. SISHUWA’s statements as divisive and bordering on tribal and regional discrimination.
Reverend MBULO told ZNBC News that the law knows no tribe and is applied equally to all wrongdoers, regardless of their ethnic background.
Meanwhile, Historian, Professor BIZECK PHIRI described the allegations as baseless and aimed at undermining the country’s unity and cohesion.
And MMD Vice President for Politics, REUBEN SAMBO, said Dr. SISHUWA’s statement is unfortunate and lacks depth in terms of historical context and proper analysis.
Reverend SAMBO warned that while some individuals may think they are addressing specific issues, statements of this nature only create division.
