Small scale miner dies digging for copper ore in Chambeshi

A Small Scale Miner has died in Chambishi on the Copperbelt after being trapped at NFCA mine.

The victim aged between 35 and 40, was digging for copper ore at NFCA mine area when the earth caved in on him.

Copperbelt Police Commissioner, PEACEWELL MWEEMBA said the incident happened around 12:00 hours yesterday and Police rushed to the scene and confirmed the report.

The Commissioner said the deceased body has since been retrieved and deposited at the Chambishi Government Clinic mortuary.
