Smart Zambia rolls out CDF Management Information system

Smart Zambia is rolling out the Constituency Development Fund Management Information System CDF-MIS- to 20 local authorities across the country.

Smart Zambia National Coordinator PERCY CHINYAMA says this is out of the 47 that have been targeted by the end of the year.

Mr CHINYAMA says this is being done to ensure the people have access to governments’ services through monitoring and evaluation of CDF.

Mr CHINYAMA said this during the presentation of the CDF-MIS to the local government accounts committee and local governance, housing and chiefs affairs committee in Lusaka today.

And Local government and rural development Director ICT JUDITH BEENE said the ministry will ensure local authorities are aided through the transition from manual to digital services.

Meanwhile, Government Accounts Committee Vice Chairperson CHRISTOPHER SHAKAFUSWA expressed gratitude for the initiative aimed at ensuring proper use of CDF.
